Avaada集团与印度古吉拉特邦政府签署了一项协议，将投资约48亿美元，建设6 GW的风力-太阳能混合发电项目。
该协议是在近期举行的“2024年度活力古吉拉特邦峰会”期间的非正式会谈中签署的。
该混合发电项目将分别坐落于古吉拉特邦的不同地区，但主要将建在喀奇县欠发达的荒地上。项目将为印度的各种公用事业供电，并为Avaada集团的绿色氢/氨项目提供自用电力。
这些项目预计每年将生产175亿单位的绿色电力。该公司表示，该项目开发过程将创造1200个直接和间接的就业机会。
“可再生能源和绿色氢及其衍生物，已经成为化石燃料的强大替代品，推动了各个行业和地区的快速脱碳，”Avaada集团董事长Vineet Mittal说，“古吉拉特邦拥有丰富的自然资源，其全年日照天数高达300天，并且拥有广阔的荒地和漫长的海岸线，有潜力为满足全球对化石燃料替代解决方案的需求而做出重大贡献。”
除了在古吉拉特邦计划新建的6 GW容量以外，Avaada集团在该邦还拥有2 GW正在运营或处于不同开发阶段的项目。
