圣保罗政府宣布，位于州内最大的水库——比林斯水库上的UFF Araucária浮动光伏项目一期工程已顺利竣工。
该发电厂的装机容量为7 MW，拥有10,500块太阳能电池板，安装于高密度聚乙烯浮筒上。该电厂将根据巴西国内的净计量计划进行运营。
“该发电厂将成为巴西最大的分布式发电商业运营电站，发电机位于消费中心附近，”政府在一份声明中表示，“每年可以产生高达10 GWh的电力。”
圣保罗州环境公司（Cetesb）是该设施的所有人并负责对该设施进行运营。
该发电厂是圣保罗主要的可持续能源开发项目之一，在环境、基础设施和物流秘书处的协调下进行建设。整体项目计划于2025年底完工，届时将新增75 MW可再生能源发电能力。
“这座发电厂实现了我们在圣保罗州追求的清洁能源、能源转型和脱碳目标，”环境部长Natalia Resende说，“这意味着在使用清洁能源提供优质服务的同时，还兼顾整体环境的影响，这就是可持续性。”
在短短两个月内，该发电厂的施工创造了约200个就业岗位，其所占水域面积不足比林斯水库水体表面的0.1%，最大限度地减少了对环境的总体影响。
“仅在一期阶段，该项目就创造了80个直接就业岗位和约120个间接就业岗位，”Emae首席执行官Marcio Rea表示，“预计未来两年将有很多工作要做，需要安装更多的电站。我们致力于100%实现这一目标。”
