瑞典制造商Midsummer已完成即将迎来的200 MW新工厂选址，该工厂将为欧洲市场生产CIGS薄膜太阳能电池。
该工厂将位于瑞典东南部的弗伦市，建造工厂的部分资金由欧盟创新基金提供，总共达3230万欧元。如果欧盟批准该项目的选址和启动，Midsummer将于今年9月接管该场地。
Midsummer首席执行官Eric Jaremalm表示，弗伦市满足了公司的所有要求，包括合适的场地、可靠的电力供应和有利于这种生产的当地基础设施。“我们觉得我们已经并将会获得弗伦市政府对我们投资的大力支持。弗伦市的地理位置优越，有利于在瑞典和整个欧洲运输原料和成品，”Jaremalm补充说。
该工厂计划于2026年开始生产，预计至2028年全面投产后，将雇佣约200名员工。
Midsummer的产品系列专注于轻型和环境可持续的太阳能电池板，主要用于低承重的商业和工业屋顶，这些屋顶无法承受传统硅板的重量。
上个月，该公司宣布与法国Soprasolar公司建立合作伙伴关系，将把其薄膜电池板集成到Soprasolar公司的屋顶膜上，并供法国和其他市场的客户使用。
