三家不同的开发商分别宣布了与智利太阳能发电场配套的大型电池储能（BESS）项目。
意大利能源公司Enel在智利的子公司Enel Chile表示，将在El Manzano太阳能发电站部署一个67 MW/134 MWh的电池。该项目位于圣地亚哥大区查卡布科省的Tiltil镇，装机容量为99 MW。该太阳能发电站占地185公顷，采用16.2万块615 W和610 W的双面单晶硅电池板。
在另一份新闻稿中，葡萄牙EPC承包商CJR Renewable宣布已与爱尔兰公司Atlas Renewable签订合同，建造一个200 MW/800 MWh的BESS。该系统将与于2022年投入运营，位于安托法加斯塔地区托科皮拉省María Elena镇的244 MW的Sol del Desierto光伏电站配套。
CJR Renewables将作为该项目的土建和电气工程总承包商，采用中国制造商Sungrow提供的320个电池组件。CJR Renewables业务和发展经理Raúl Pérez说：“本项目让我们在智利的BESS设施达到523 MW。”
Sol del Desierto在479公顷土地上共拥有582,930块太阳能电池板，年发电量约为714 GWh。该光伏电站已按Atlas Renewable Energy与法国能源巨头Engie的智利子公司Engie Energía Chile签订了为期15年的购电协议（PPA）运营，每年可提供550 GWh电力。
在另一项开发项目中，西班牙开发商Uriel Renovables宣布其90 MW的Quinquimo太阳能发电场与90 MW/200 MWh BESS设施已获得初步批准。该项目预计将于2025年在智利圣地亚哥以北150公里的瓦尔帕莱索大区开工建设。
