据报道，该公司将进行裁员，特别是裁撤Sattledt生产基地的员工。公司将该决定归咎于“当前的太阳能危机”。
截至2023年底，伏能士已经减少了工作时长并裁减了临时工。该公司当时表示，其已为来年“做好了充分准备”。
根据APA的报告，该公司已要求光伏生产线的1000名员工采用内部短工时，但情况在2024年前两个季度恶化。
在天然气和能源危机开始时，为了满足激增的光伏产品需求，伏能士投资了约4.2亿欧元（4.568亿美元）来扩大生产，并雇用了2000名新员工。
然而，批发商库存的消耗速度比预期要慢。在奥地利，由于能源成本下降和资金不确定性，新的光伏系统安装量自2023年以来已下降了30%到40%。据该公司报道称，在德国，屋顶光伏市场已经减半。《光伏》杂志直接就该问题向伏能士公司进行询问，但没有得到答复。
根据该机构的报告，伏能士将出现当前问题的原因，归咎于“中国制造商的倾销价格，并认为这些中国制造商的产品充斥着欧洲市场，而这些产品的价格有时甚至会低于成本价格。”欧洲政界人士尚未对此事做出果断反应。
