意大利甲级联赛乌迪内斯足球俱乐部和清洁能源公司Bluenergy Group已开始在意大利北部乌迪内的Friuli体育场建造1.1 MW光伏系统。
Bluenergy集团一位发言人告诉《光伏》杂志，该系统将安装2400块太阳能电池板，并将于10月份完工。两家公司正考虑在项目的下个步骤“将发电站与330 kW电池储能系统集成的可能性。”
乌迪内市副市长Alessandro Venanzi表示，该地区已在光伏和可再生能源方面投入了大量资源。
Venanzi补充说：“必须鼓励此类举措，而且不仅是口头上，地区政府是乌迪内斯足球队的主要赞助商，以实际行动参与到我们地区的出色项目中来，并为此深感自豪。”
Bluenergy首席执行官Alberta Gervasio此前曾告诉《光伏》杂志，夏季比赛和音乐会安排将不受干扰地继续进行。
世界上最大的足球场光伏系统是位于土耳其伊斯坦布尔阿里萨米延体育场屋顶上的4.2 MW项目。在巴西，巴西利亚的马内加林查国家体育场屋顶上也有一处2.5 MW阵列。全球第三大体育场项目则是位于巴西巴西利亚国家体育场屋顶的2.4 MW太阳能电池阵列。
