“Sinonus公司已开发出一种神奇的可以兼作电池的碳纤维复合材料,”Markus Zetterström在一个月前出任公司首席执行官一职时在领英上写道,“通过将系统/应用中的部分结构材料替换为我们的多用途复合材料,可以在保持重量和体积不变的情况下增加电存储容量,或者在保持电池容量不变的情况下减少系统重量和体积(当然还有一些是两者的结合)。”
材料的能量密度取决于应用所需的结构性能和电气性能。
“有人可能会说,结构需求/规格越高,能量密度就越低(反之亦然)。在保持良好结构容量的同时,其能量密度的可能跨度约为当前技术水平下传统锂离子电池的25-50%,”Zetterström告诉ESS News。
Sinonus公司已经在实验室中用低功耗产品取代了AAA电池,展示了这项技术的潜力。其目标是将该项技术扩展到物联网设备等更大规模的应用中,并最终扩展到无人机、计算机、大型车辆,甚至飞机上。
