总部位于立陶宛的Soliport公司已将一个250 kW的太阳能车棚与40个电动汽车（EV）充电桩相连。
该公司声称，此系统是目前安装在波罗的海国家停车场内最大的发电厂。
“虽然光伏车棚是并网的，但只有一小部分电量会注入电网，” 该公司的管理联合创始人Gediminas Onaitis在接受《光伏》杂志采访时表示，“大部分电能将用于每年为大约4000辆电动汽车充电。”
电动汽车充电系统由立陶宛专业公司CityCharge提供，每个系统有两个22 kW的充电插座。它们还配备了特斯拉的增压器。
电源管理系统（DLM）可以确保在充电过程中不超过输入负荷，因此车棚电站可以将充电容量最大化，以便充分利用所有可再生太阳能电力和剩余输入电力。
该车棚还安装了晶科能源生产的580 W双面双层玻璃组件和总部位于中国的Solax公司生产的逆变器。
该车棚电站的结构设计由Soliport公司负责，根据当地的基础设施和现有的停车位情况进行设计。“光伏电站的建造不会损失停车位，电站的基础设施都隐藏在地下，” Onaitis 说，“这些设施对驾驶舒适性和打开车门的可能性的影响微乎其微。不要让驾驶变得复杂，尤其是在公共停车场，这一点非常重要。”、
