美国国家可再生能源实验室的新研究发现,全国范围内由联邦控制的水库具有“可观”的漂浮式太阳能发电潜力,估计发电量从861 GW到1042 GW不等。
该实验室称,到2050年,这一估计发电量或将提供美国电网脱碳所需太阳能发电量的一半左右。
这一范围与先前试图量化漂浮式太阳能发电潜力的多项研究结果相一致。但是,这项新研究发现,由于美国不同地点的具体因素不同,利用水库开发漂浮式太阳能的适用性存在很大差异。
研究人员称,新研究不仅有助于更好地了解可用的漂浮式太阳能发电容量有多少,还指明了在哪些地方开发更有可能达到估计容量水平。研究人员表示,整个美国范围内漂浮式太阳能发电潜力分布广泛,但空间分布并不均匀。
