EWEC计划在阿拉伯联合酋长国阿布扎比的迪哈夫拉地区开发1.5 GW的Zarraf太阳能独立发电商项目，目前正在接受合格公司的投标方案。
继2024年10月意向表达阶段后，EWEC宣布在提交初步投标书的20家公司和财团当中有16家有资格递交投标方案。
中标的开发商或财团将负责发电厂及其基础设施的融资、建设、运营、维护并获得项目的部分所有权。中标方将最多持有该实体40%的股份，而阿布扎比政府间接持有多数股份。根据长期购电协议规定，EWEC只需为发电厂产生的净电能付费。
投标方案递交截止日期为2025年第二季度。届时，EWEC计划举办一场公开活动，确认投标的公司和财团。
Zarraf项目是EWEC和阿布扎比的第五个公用事业规模太阳能项目。预计竣工后将成为全球最大的单一站点太阳能项目之一，能够为大约16万户家庭供电。
EWEC已制定目标，即到2030年使阿布扎比的太阳能发电量至少达到10 GW。该公司近期表示，将在阿联酋四个地点开发4.6 GW的太阳能和风能项目。
