比利时输电系统运营商Elia发布的数据表明，2024年太阳能发电量占到比利时电力结构的11.9%。
这一占比在2023年9.5%的基础上有所提升。去年，太阳能超越海上风电，成为了最主要的可再生能源发电来源。
该运营商表示，2024年可再生能源发电量占到比利时总发电量的29.8%，超出2023年的28.2%而创下新纪录。燃气发电量降至17.6%的历史最低水平；而核能发电量的占比降至42.4%，标志着在计划逐步淘汰核电之前连续第四次下降。
Elia报告称，2024年太阳能装机量增长23%，由此推动太阳能发电量提升15.7%，总量达到8.3 TWh。其中，8月份的太阳能发电量最多，高达1.3 TWh。
受异常风况影响，2024年可再生能源发电总量为20.8 TWh，与2023年的21.5 TWh相比有所下降。
7月，新能源和光伏领域研究机构Becquerel Institute的分析师预测，比利时在2024年上半年新增337 MW太阳能发电量，预计全年将新增900 MW。
