孟加拉国政府正试图改善其净计量政策，以鼓励房主和企业部署屋顶光伏系统。
可持续和可再生能源发展局（SREDA）起草了该提案，并将其提交给电力、能源和矿产资源部审批。
如果获得批准，新规定将允许光伏系统所有者将100%的发电量注入电网，而现行规定中，这一上限为70%。
在现行政策下，只有连接三相或33 kV电力的用户才有资格使用净计量。该修正案将把资格扩大到所有人，包括那些有220 V或单相连接的人，使更多的电力生产商参与其中。
目前，拥有预付费电表的消费者没有资格享受净计量，但修正案将允许他们参与电力交易。
“我们希望通过消除障碍和加强设施来鼓励净计量投资，”SREDA主席Khandker Md Abdul Hye在接受《光伏》杂志记者采访时表示，“我们希望该修正案将有助于加强太阳能发电。”
根据其净计量政策，孟加拉国2657个屋顶太阳能系统产生了约116 MW的电力。另外264个屋顶太阳能系统产生94 MW的电力，但它们没有连接到净计量系统。
