欧洲光伏产业协会的最新报告显示，到2028年摩洛哥的太阳能装机容量有望达到2.97 GW。
这份名为“摩洛哥：太阳能投资机会”的报告做出了中等前景预测，且得到了全球太阳能理事会（GSC）和摩洛哥可再生能源协会（Cluster EnR）的认可。在高增长情景下，预计到2028年装机容量有望增至4.35 GW。
欧洲光伏产业协会将摩洛哥太阳能市场的“温和发展”归因于该国对集中太阳能发电的专注、项目开发的延误以及电网整合面临的挑战。
该报告指出，摩洛哥太阳能潜力强劲，部分原因在于该国太阳能辐射强度高且有大量土地可用。报告还提到，摩洛哥正在进行的能源部门改革已使得大部分市场面向私人投资开放。
全球太阳能理事会首席执行官索尼娅·邓洛普（Sonia Dunlop）预计，到2028年摩洛哥将新增2.2 GW太阳能发电量。
她补充道：“凭借健全的监管框架、长期的雄心壮志且在国家绿色氢战略推动下电力需求不断增长，太阳能的成本将继续大幅下降，从而创造新的投资机会。”
该报告提出了扩大太阳能应用的建议，敦促摩洛哥继续推进电力市场自由化，以吸引私人投资。报告还呼吁增加对电网基础设施的资金投入，并出台激励措施扩大电池储能系统（BESS）的规模。
其他建议包括简化许可程序、增强财政和金融激励措施、推动太阳能电力出口至邻国以及制定光伏专业培训项目。
Cluster EnR总干事Fatima Zahra El Khalifa表示，该报告凸显了摩洛哥强大的太阳能潜力及其在可再生能源领域的重要角色。
El Khalifa补充说：“这项研究强调了该国在成为区域能源枢纽方面的重要作用。通过在太阳能基础设施方面作出战略性投资，摩洛哥有望充分发挥潜力，加快能源转型，并促进长期可持续增长。”
