Allegro Energy推出了澳大利亚首款国产微乳液液流电池（MeFB），用于长时储能。

Allegro Energy首席执行官Thomas Nann表示，这款电池的化学成分标志着在支持全球清洁能源转型方面的重大进步。Nann称，澳大利亚可以利用先进的制造能力来实现差异化发展，并发展其他国家所缺乏的能力。
Allegro Energy首席技术官Fraser Hughson表示，这种电池还将有利于澳大利亚纽卡斯尔地区的经济发展，因为大多数零部件都是在当地采购的。Hughson称，在国内生产电池不仅是一种战略选择，而且在经济上也是可行的。
Origin Energy在领英上表示，电池储能（包括长时储能）将在澳大利亚能源转型中发挥关键的作用。该公司持有Allegro Energy股份总数的5%。
Origin公司表示，通过与Allegro Energy的合作，其计划在埃拉灵发电厂试点该技术，然后再考虑更广泛的部署。
Origin持股投资为Allegro Energy分阶段开发60 MWh试点氧化还原液流电池（RFB）提供了支持，同时获得了支持AllegroEnergy建造首座超级工厂的选择权。
