随着法国政府大幅削减对太阳能家庭向电网输送电力的支付费率，Octopus Energy Services开始推出一款兼顾电池、太阳能和能源消耗灵活性的产品。
Octopus表示，其SolarPlus系统将帮助用户最大限度地提高电力自用率，降低能源账单。在政府于3月26日宣布新的净计量电价后，这会变得非常必要。
能源供应商Octopus表示，其太阳能+储能产品可以削减90%的家庭电费，节省高达1900欧元（2080美元），甚至可以在已经拥有太阳能+储能系统的家庭中平均降低49%的电费账单——最高可达480欧元。这些数据基于每年消耗6 MWh电力、拥有6 kW太阳能阵列和6.9 kWh电池的家庭。
至关重要的是，SolarPlus基于由Octopus公司保证比标准、受监管的销售电价低3%的电价。此外，Octopus的电价还在每年4月1日至10月31日期间每天下午两点至4点提供额外的非高峰时段供电，从而实现比受监管数量多出428小时的非高峰用电时数。该公司估计，其电价每年可以节省约15欧元的电费。
在这款产品中，智能电池发挥着核心作用。它在阳光充足时以及其他非高峰时段通过太阳能发电进行充电，每年可节省高达51欧的电费。
SolarPlus以每千瓦时0.13欧元的价格回购用户的多余太阳能电力，这一价格相当于目前国家电价的三倍，且持续三年不变。这样，每年可以节省234欧元。
该系统还可应用于耗能的热水箱。而且在Octopus的4月至10月电价优惠期间，通过利用太阳能发电可以每年节省高达117欧元。
Octopus Energy副首席执行官Guillaume Bodson表示：“我们对这款新的、可控的太阳能产品充满信心：如果使用得当，电池将帮助在高峰需求时段缓解电网的压力。为60万户家庭配备这款产品将提供相当于六座核电站的[电网]灵活性：这将提供一个真正的契机，在帮助法国提高能源系统灵活性和独立性的同时，减轻法国家庭的经济负担。”
