巴基斯坦国家电力监管局（Nepra）发布了2021-22财年的年度报告。该监管机构批准了总装机容量为44.74 MW的9个太阳能项目的许可证，以及总共243.43 MW的7032个净计量项目许可证。
预计未来几年太阳能和风能在电力结构中所占份额将不断增加，到2030年将从目前的3%左右增长到23%。但在此后的二十年中，该份额可能保持不变，因为国家监管机构预计该国将部署更多的燃煤发电。
